- For a custody change or release alert concerning one person, use VINELink and confirm urgent details with the jail.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, probationer, parolee, or recent discharge, use the Michigan Department of Corrections OTIS search.
- For a federal or immigration detainee, use the separate Federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator.
- For the final result of a charge, consult the appropriate district or circuit court record. A booking charge is only an accusation.
